Clean, well stocked and great service. Only disappointment is a gentleman behind the deli counter who never so much as smiles. They even checked to see if they could order pork belly for me!

The frozen foods section is enormous. There are so many aisles of packaged goods that the time it takes to find everything on your list is daunting and sticking to that list is difficult and can result in a much higher bill at checkout.

There are a few things I go here for because they have the best deal. Otherwise I try to stick with local merchants inside Ypsilanti. As for big box stores Meijer is my preference. They still hire union employees and they were founded in Michigan. They are relatively inexpensive but not cheap like a dollar store.

I love Meijer. When I moved out of state a few years ago for work, I was sad there was no Meijer there. I am back now and shop at Meijer every chance I get. Sad that the parking lot is usually strewn with shopping carts... not a knock on Meijer though, its clientele. There is a special level of hell reserved for people too lazy to return shopping carts...

I was willing to put up with the deli guy ignoring me, then working obscenely slow. He's old; I guess he's earned that right. However, I didn't think I had to check the expiration date of sandwich wraps. Turns out a spoiled spinach wrap taste like rotten eggs, but doesn't make one sick. Silver lining.

Always the best shopping experience although I must say you need more clerks on the floor to help you locate items. Other than that I give you five stars. Sue Jender

All things considered, Meijer is a good place to shop if you have a crowd to manage and plenty of time to shop mindfully. But if you are only shopping for one to three people you're not going to save much and you'll waste a lot of time.

The dairy case is a real disappointment because it does not carry much organic product and not even Calders is available here. If I have to get milk here I usually go with Guernsey. They do occasionally have good sale prices on Irish butter so I watch the sale paper for those times.

There is a large produce section with both organic and conventional selections. The deli is good for fast meals to take home during busy times. The ready to eat meals are not very good, consisting of all fried foods such as chicken and fries but there is also a small selection of sushi and fairly fresh salads if you get them early in the day.
